Introducing - Garima Dayal
Sales Operations Specialist

Garima Dayal Positive People

How long have you been with SPT Labtech?

I joined SPT Labtech in July 2024, so I have just completed my first anniversary with the company!!

What are your main responsibilities, and a typical day look like for you?

In my current role, I am focused on driving consistency and efficiency across our global sales processes. I manage inputs from our revenue technology stack, primarily Salesforce and our ERP system to inform accurate sales forecasting. I lead weekly sales and pipeline reporting, analyzing how our pipeline stacks up against forecasts.

In addition, I develop and maintain Salesforce dashboards and reports that give the team visibility into performance and highlight areas needing attention. I am also responsible for ensuring order accuracy across our platforms to maintain data integrity and smooth operations. A typical day for me starts with data downloads from different platforms, data hygiene checks, going back and forth and checking with the team (sometimes), working on my reports and then sharing them with the team.

What’s something about your job that people might not realize, and what's the most rewarding part of your job?

While many assume sales operations is just about managing reports or systems like Salesforce, the reality is it is about translating complex commercial data into actionable insights. Leaders often rely on the dashboards, forecasts, and data hygiene to make strategic decisions. The most rewarding part of the job is to see the data drive real impact.

How does your work impact your colleagues and/or customers?

The weekly commercial reports I create are shared with the leadership team, so that they can have clear visibility of the sales performance and pipeline data. The Salesforce dashboards and reports I create for each sales team member enables them to have more ownership over what is going on in their individual territories and take actionable insights.

What’s been your proudest moment at SPT Labtech?

The first day of my visit to SPT Labtech headquarters in UK was my proudest moment. Finally, I was able to meet the team I had been working with for months in person. I was also fascinated to see the office space, the labs, manufacturing and meeting lots of colleagues from different teams.

Which of the Strategic Pillars / Goals do you think you impact the most and why?

I believe I have the greatest impact on the 'Commercial Capability' strategic pillar. My role is centered on enabling others by turning accurate, well-structured commercial data into actionable insights. These insights empower our teams to plan and execute more targeted, effective activities - ultimately unlocking the full potential of our commercial strategies across regions and functions.

How does your team or role contribute to the company’s success?

By managing commercial data reporting, Sales Operations helps the company make informed decisions. Ensuring that Salesforce is aligned with business goals, clean of data errors and user friendly for the sales team - results in teams spending less time on admin tasks and using their time productively.

If you had to describe your job in one word, what would it be?

Dynamic – because I feel my role demands energy and enthusiasm with adaptability.

How does your background or culture influence the way you work?

Culturally, I bring a strong emphasis on relationship-building, adaptability, and a solution-oriented mindset -qualities that are deeply rooted in Indian professional values. I am able to navigate diverse teams, balance process with flexibility, and often serve as a bridge when working with stakeholders across geographies. I find that I naturally adapt my communication style depending on the cultural context, which has helped me a lot in my role so far.

What’s something outside of work that you’re passionate about?

I am passionate about cooking and photography. That is the reason I love travelling to new places and try their cuisines and click nature pictures Garima Dayal Positive People 2

What excites you about the future of your role?

What truly excites me about the future of my role is the opportunity to drive deeper alignment between data, strategy, and execution across a global sales function. As technology continues to evolve, there is so much potential to leverage advanced analytics, AI-driven insights, and automation within platforms like Salesforce to forecast more accurately, optimize performance, and proactively identify growth opportunities.

Being at the center of sales operations, I look forward to continuing to streamline processes, enhance visibility, and empower the sales team to be more agile, targeted, and high-performing. It’s energizing to know that the work I do can have a tangible impact on revenue growth and team success.

If you could give one piece of advice to someone looking to join SPT Labtech, what would it be?
