Designing protocols - 9.7 - Saving your protocol

Use File, Save or Save As to save your protocol.

The save locations available will depend on your network configuration, and may include Cloud storage in addition to Your Computer. Use a private folder if you know your protocol is not ready to be shared yet. Use a folder with ‘read only’ permissions for other users to ensure your protocol cannot be modified.

You have the option of saving the protocol in a format suitable for earlier versions of firefly software, if these are in use in your lab. firefly will warn you if saving in an older format will result in a loss of functionality e.g. older versions of the software did not support the use of plate lids.
