Consumables - 3.7 Plate seals

You can use plates with pre-pierced foil seals with firefly.

IMPORTANT: It is critical that the foil is completely pierced before the plate is loaded onto the firefly deck.

Pierce the foil by pushing a clean plate or 8-strip tube into the foil seal to ensure the foil has been pierced completely. Piercing the foil using a pipette tip is not recommended since it does not create an opening in the foil that the pipetting head tips can freely move though
