Lab2lab software design - 11.1 - Vial detection

Vials arrive at the Router cap down and are detected by a vacuum sensor. For this to work the vial cap must form a good seal over the suction hole. Hence the vial cap must be flat in the end of the Router arm. If the cap is not correctly inserted it may be at an angle which could prevent the vial from being detected. At the end point devices (Senders, Receivers etc.) vials arrive cap up. There they are detected by optical sensors seeing the white centers of the lab2lab vial caps. Caps must not be colored or otherwise marked by users.
