Safety - 2.4 Restarting after a power failure

The Oracle database runs as a service and restarts automatically after a power failure. To restart lab2lab:

  1. Restart Director. If there had been a vial in-transit when the power failed, immediately Director will show an error message saying that a vial is lost in transit.
  2. Physically locate the in-transit vial and remove it. Using the 'Vials' page, update the vial's location in Director (there is only ever one vial in transit at one time). Director cannot be made operational again until this has been done.
  3. You can now restart your lab2lab system and reconnect to the analytical instruments. You will need to restart your instruments according to their instructions. lab2lab will update once reconnected.
