This step is not time critical.
Degassed dispenser water is essential to maintaining dispenser performance. Helium is bubbled for two minutes on the chameleon system to remove dissolved gas from the dispenser supply water.
- Follow the on screen instructions to open the helium supply valve.
- Press Sparge to begin helium sparging to degas the dispenser water. If using online degassing, follow the on screen instructions.
- Close the helium supply valve after helium sparging has completed. It is important to close the helium regulator after sparging as the helium loss rate through polymer tubing is significantly higher than for other gases.
When sparging is complete, chameleon software immediately progresses to dispenser set up.
