This is the Work List Processor main screen.
- As part of the tube sorting project, you may want to weigh the vials or check the barcodes.

- Click the 'Change' button, on the Main Screen, to open the Tube Processing Options form.
- Select 2D Reader and / or Weigh Tube, then OK to close the form.
- Click the 'Change' button, on the Main Screen, to open the Tube Processing Options form.

- Optionally you may wish to setup the Output file fields and directory before you start working with tubes. The XL20B generates a configurable Output file for each target tube rack in the work list.

- Select the Settings Menu.
- Select Output Files.
- Use the Output File Settings to specify your output file's data fields and directory.

Select the Work List and Load Tube Racks
- Click on Open Worklist, on the File menu, and select a Work List to be processed
- The Tray Setup screen for the job is displayed.
- Use the handheld barcode scanner to scan a rack position number barcode on the XL20B
deck (tray) or select the desired rack position by clicking on the deck position in the software. - Use the handheld barcode scanner to scan the tube rack barcode or or select the desired
rack ID from the drop down menu and click Enter. The XL20B software will automatically
associate the tube rack with the specific location on the XL20B deck. - Place the tube rack at the position that was just scanned.
The rack position is now shown as occupied. - Repeat these steps for each rack and deck position. Use the drop down menus on the Tray Set Up screen for ease of navigation.
NOTE: Tube racks are oriented with Tube A01 towards the rear-left of the XL20B unit. Check tube racks to be sure there are no tubes stuck in the tube rack. If a tube is stuck in the rack, loosen the tube prior to processing.
7. After loading all your tube racks, the XL20B is ready to start sorting tubes. Click the OK button on the Tray Setup screen.
The tube handler follows the pick (from source rack) and place (to target rack) commands
that are contained in the work list.- If the worklist includes more racks than can be loaded on the deck, the instrument will pause to allow you to remove processed racks and add others. Remember to scan the barcode of each rack before you place it.
- To Pause the sorting click on the Pause button (recommended in event of an error)
- To Re-start after pause click on the Start button
- To Stop the sorting click on the Stop button (recommended for partial jobs)
NOTE: Stopping the sort may require re-loading the work list to complete the sorting job*. If an error occurs, follow on-screen directions (example: clear error and retry). Follow the instructions for re-starting a partially completed job.
- When the job is complete, XL20B generates Log and Output files.
