Hazard summary

Take care to keep your hands clear of moving parts. While the motors move the pick head slowly, there is still a risk of pinching your hand or fingers. 

Accessing XL20B

Ordinarily you load racks onto XL20B's deck before you start the instrument processing. If
however you have set up a work list involving more racks than there are deck positions, the
instrument will pause and home the pick head to enable you to move racks on and off the deck
safely. 

Stopping XL20B

Use the Stop button on the Main Processing Screen if you need to stop the instrument.

Moving XL20B safely

The XL20B weighs 35kg (77 lbs) or 51kg (112 lbs) if fitted with a LabelPro. Remove LabelPro before moving XL20B

WARNING: Keep your back straight and lift with your legs to avoid possible injury.

  • When moving the instrument, be sure to lift only from the base of the instrument.
  • Place the instrument on a steady, sturdy, flat and level surface.

EMC

No specific EMC precautions are required when operating XL20B.

IMPORTANT: This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class A digital device, pursuant to part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference when the equipment is operated in a commercial environment. This equipment generates, uses, and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instruction manual, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. Operation of this equipment in a residential area is likely to cause harmful interference in which case the user will be required to correct the interference at his own expense.
